In future issues of Fixtures, we will detail the green initiatives that Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group and our corporate parent, Leggett & Platt, Inc., are taking to assure that we are good stewards of the environment.

But, here are just a few of our efforts:

• We’re significantly improving the environmental performance of our painting operation
• We’re moving to organic compound cleaning systems that are more environmentally-friendly
• In our steel manufacturing, we’re realizing major reductions in chemical releases
• We’ve increased pollution prevention in our coating, polyurethane foam and textile operations
• Several of our plants are now being supplied with renewable, sustainable energy — including hydropower, wind energy and landfill gas

These are only a few of our green efforts… and only the beginning of our green commitment.
